DEI Water Cooler
Advocating for a more just and equitable society, one therapy hour at a time!
About DEI Water Cooler Training & Consulting
Water Cooler Training and Consulting, LLC, offers culturally competent mental health training, business consultation, and clinical supervision and is located in central Arkansas.
One credible criticism of most mental health training to date has been that it is focused on and authored by the majority members of society. This “shoot for the middle” approach is only so effective, especially for those of us who, well, don’t live “in the middle!” As women and members of the LGBTQ community, we will always be doing the work of de-centering privilege and advancing justice – in the therapy room, and in life.
We are honored that Water Cooler can be another way we can openly advocate for a more just and equitable society, one therapy hour at a time!

Equity Based Rates
We value our talent and experience enough to offer market rates to the general public. At the same time, a just and equitable society sometimes calls upon those with more privilege to offer tangible support to those with less. We value you and your potential as well! So, ask us about our equity rates if you’re in need of some extra support right now.
Clinical Supervision
Our world is big and diverse, and counselors do not practice in a vacuum. I advocate for cultural sensitivity, even (especially!) here in Arkansas, so that clients from marginalized communities can get professional and effective guidance in the therapy room. I use a very simple and focused form of client feedback to ensure the client’s voice is always the central voice in therapy, and I use a mixture of experiential and cognitive therapeutic approaches to help activate the changes that the client seeks.
