Clinical Supervision
Rachel Pinto, LPC-S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counselor Supervisor in the state of Arkansas (Lic. No. P1608112) who is offering clinical supervision.
Hi, it’s Rachel. I am very excited to take on a small group of supervisees this year, probably four to six of you, as we walk together at the beginning of your counseling career. I tried a handful of other careers before I became a counselor, and I am at once grateful for the meandering journey and for where I ended up! Hands down, I love being a counselor, and I love working with others who are also passionate about being guides on the journey.
Our world is big and diverse, and counselors do not practice in a vacuum. I advocate for cultural competency, even (especially!) here in Arkansas, so that clients from marginalized communities can get trustworthy and effective guidance in the therapy room. I use a very simple and focused form of client feedback to ensure the client’s voice is always the central voice in therapy, and I use a mixture of experiential and cognitive therapeutic approaches to help activate the changes that the client seeks.
I have worked with clients of all ages, but the majority of my experience has been with individual adults and couples. My work has been in outpatient settings and most recently in private practice.
